Two-Day International Conference on "Biotechnology and Development Challenges and Opportunities for Asian Region”, February 26-27, 2002

Shri K.C. Pant, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission and Chairman, RIS inaugurated the Conference.  Dr William G. Padolina, Deputy Director General, International Rice Research Institute delivered a keynote address on “Biotechnology, Innovation and Development”.  Dr Manju Sharma, Secretary, Deptt. of Biotechnology also addressed the participants.  On this occasion, the RIS Journal Asian Biotechnology and Development Review was also launched.
