![]() Comparative Development in India, Mexico and Brazil 1988 |
A seminar on Comparative Development Experiences of India, Mexico and Brazil was organised in March, 1985 by the RIS in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the El Colegio de Mexico, Mexico and the Candido Mendes University of Brazil. This volume presented the proceedings of this seminar. The seminar dealt with three broad areas for discussion: (a) economic development strategies; (b) social and agricultural transformation connected with development; and (c) political participation and development. Each of these was discussed in the context of the experiences gained by the three countries and also in relation to the global and multilateral issues of concern to the developing countries.
