Dr Raul Prebisch expired on May 6, 1986. In his death we have indeed lost a great
intellectual leader of the Third World. In order to give a fitting tribute to his memory,
RIS organised a seminar on "Thoughts of Raul Prebisch on Development Economics".
The basic objective of the seminar was to recapitulate the various innovative
contributions of Dr. Raul Prebisch and examine their relevance for the developing
countries in the present times. This volume presented the proceedings of the seminar, the
background papers prepared for the seminar and some of the seminal writings of Dr. Raul Prebisch. |
