In order to fulfil its mandate, RIS has been engaged in the activities of conducting research studies on current international economic issues and developing an information system for the benefit of the developing countries. The study on UNCTAD VII and the Global Challenge was aimed at making some proposals for reform in the world economic system with a view to revitalising trade and growth in the world economy. The report aimed at bringing out the challenges of development and the effective role which a body like the UNCTAD can play in revitalising growth with equity in the world economy. |
