ICGEB

The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) was launched as UN initiative with two components located in Trieste (Italy) and in New Delhi (India) along with network of affiliated centres. ICGEB conducts innovative research in life sciences for the benefit of developing countries. It strengthens the research capability of its Members through training and funding programmes and advisory services and represents a comprehensive approach to promoting biotechnology internationally. Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) is an autonomous policy think-tank devoted to trade and development issues.
