RIS is a premier policy research institution providing analytical support and policy advice to developing countries and institutional networking in the field of international economic issues. It has built up considerable expertise in policy analysis from a development perspective on global economic and trade governance, regional economic integration in Asia, South-South cooperation, new technologies and development, and strategic policy responses to globalization, among other issues. It also conducts capacity building programmes in these areas for officials and researchers from developing countries. Faculty Positions

Senior Fellows in the pay scale of Rs. 14300-450-22400. An established scholar with a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in the area of international economics and development policy. Should have a doctorate degree in Economics or a related discipline with eight years of relevant experience.
Fellows in the pay scale of Rs. 12000-375-18000. A Ph.D. degree in Economics or a related discipline and peer-reviewed publications with at least five years of relevant research experience in international economic issues.
Associate Fellows in the pay scale of Rs. 10000-300-15200. A Ph.D. degree in Economics or a related discipline and three years of relevant research experience and peer-reviewed publications on international economic issues.
Research Associates in the pay scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500. A good post-graduate degree preferably an M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Economics or a related discipline with specialization in international economic or development issues.
  RIS offers salaries and allowances like DA, HRA, CCA, etc. as per the Central Government rules which are expected to be revised as per the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.

Short-term deputations for one to three years can also be considered for suitable candidates working with universities/research institutions. Selection committee reserves the right to relax the requirements for the positions or to consider candidates who may not have applied.
