Advertisement for Recruitment of Consultants and Research Assistants (AYUSH/Public Health/Public Policy/Economics/Legal)
The Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM) has been established by the Ministry of Ayush within Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) as a dedicated platform to bring together all relevant actors and stakeholders in the Indian traditional medicine space. FITM aims to foster evidence-based policy making in the area of Indian Systems of Medicine (ISMs), encompassing Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homeopathy. FITM is actively engaged with the Ministry of Ayush in developing a proactive strategy to advance India's interests in this domain at the international level.
FITM invites applications for the following posts on contractual basis:
Consultants and Research Assistants (AYUSH/Public Health/Public Policy/Economics/Legal)
The engagement would be purely on a contractual basis initially for a period of one year, which could be extended depending upon a comprehensive review of the overall performance of the incumbent and future requirements of RIS.
Educational Qualifications / Experience:
A. Consultants and Research Assistants (Economics)
i) Candidate should possess a Master's degree in Economics from a recognized university.
ii) Candidates with experience of working on health economics, Ayush sector economics, trade in health services, or related areas with similar research institutions or organizations would be preferred.
B. Consultants and Research Assistants (Ayush/Public Health/Public Policy)
i) Candidate should possess a Master's degree in either Public Health, or Public Policy, or Any of the Ayush Disciplines (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy).
ii) Candidate’s experience of working on Ayush policy, traditional medicine systems, global health, or with similar research institutions or organizations would be preferred.
C. Consultants and Research Assistants (Legal)
i) Candidate should possess a LLM degree from a recognized university.
ii) Candidate with experience of working either on Health/ Traditional Knowledge Protection/ International Economic Law/ Sustainability or with similar research institutions or organizations would be preferred.
General Requirement:
Candidates must possess strong communication skills, innovative thinking, combined with ability to apply contemporary knowledge and developments to policy-relevant research studies, and be fully committed to completing assigned tasks in a time-bound manner. Familiarity with India's Ayush ecosystem, traditional medicine policy frameworks, and/or international health governance would be an added advantage.
Remuneration:
The remuneration would commensurate with expertise, qualifications and experience.
