Vimalendu Chauhan is a Research Assistant at RIS. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Banaras Hindu University and a Master’s degree in Economics from Central university of Punjab. His research primarily focuses on trade and sustainability. Currently, he is engaged in research & data analysis related to the CBAM- a key European Union policy aimed at mitigating the environmental impact of international trade. Beyond this, his academic interests lie climate and energy economics, as well as development economics.
Previously, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Rajasthan Education Council, contributing to a behavioural economics project titled "Building Agency and Bridging Inequalities in Schools: Evidence from a Universal Growth Curriculum in India (UGROW).” This project was conducted in partnership with the University of Konstanz, Germany
