Mr. Jamshed Ahmad Siddiqui is a Consultant (Legal) at the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi. His work focuses on standards and technical regulations, international cooperation, and issues relating to bilateral and multilateral trade and economic governance. His research interests lie in the interdisciplinary dimensions of international law, with particular emphasis on international trade and investment law.
Prior to joining RIS, he worked on a wide range of legal and policy issues relating to international trade and contributed to India's free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations by providing legal and technical support. His work covered negotiations with several trading partners, including ASEAN, Chile, the European Union, Oman, New Zealand, and the United States.
